Our team at REAL wishes to honor the contributions and achievements of founding partner and Chief Medical Officer Eric Collins, MD, who passed away on May 28, 2024. Dr. Collins’ extensive experience and insight as a leading addiction psychiatrist provided the original vision for creating and developing our comprehensive platform. His myriad contributions, which include written content and videos, will remain on our platform, serving as a legacy that will continue to guide the REAL team as we move forward. Dr. Collins’ wisdom and passion for patient care changed the lives of many.

In his distinguished career, Dr. Collins served as Medical Director of Substance Abuse Services at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center; Physician-in-Chief at Silver Hill psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, CT; Medical Director of the New York Center for Living; and Medical Director of the Metropolitan Center for Mental Health in New York City. He was board certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.
